Learn this tutorial and see how to create the movie ending animation which you can see on every movies, when it comes to the end. To create this tutorial, you don't have to use Action Script. Only one thing that you need is flash 8 :)
Step 1Create a new flash document and set Width to 300, and Height to 250px. Frame rate set to 14 fps.
Step 2Double click on layer1 to rename its name in background, and for background color set #CCCCCC.
Step 3Insert a new layer and name it gradient.
Step 4Take the Rectangle Tool (R), Stroke color must be switched off, under Fill color set any color, and draw a "rectangle" like it is shown on the picture below.
Step 5While your "rectangle" is still selected, open the Color Mixer Panel (Shift+F9), and set the options from the picture below.

Now, you get this:
Step 6Click on frame 100 and press F5.
Step 7Insert a new layer and name it text.
Step 8Take the Text Tool (T), and type any text. After that, set that text below the "rectangle". See the picture below.
Step 9Click on frame 100 and press F6. After that, set the text on the position above the "rectangle". See the picture below.
Step 10Go back on frame 1, open the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3), and under Tween choose Motion.
Step 11Select text layer and convert it to a mask by right-clicking on the text layer and selecting Mask.
Test your Movie (Ctrl+Enter).
