a lot of video game trailers in .mov format
The Xilisoft Video Converter 3 programm

1. The first thing that you will need is a movie. Search on the internet for a movie or a part of a movie that you want to use in your sig.
Please remember that Imageready only supports quicktime files (.mov extensions)
You will get the best result when you download a movie that already is in .mov format, if you found a movie that's not a .mov movie you'll have to convert it. I have used "Xilisoft Video Converter 3" to do this, it's an easy to use tool and it's free to use, trial version only lets you convert up till 5 minutes of movie.

2. Now that you have the movie that you want to use you can start on the background of your sig. Make this background the same way as you make every other sig, but keep in mind that there needs to be an open space to put the movie in.

3. The trick to put the movie in the picture will be explained now, open your imageready and click on File->Open. then browse for your file and open it.
you can select which part of the movie you want by selecting selected range only, check the box to limit to every second range also to get less frames and lesser filesize,
this is wot i got:

4. now use the regular marque tool to select which part of the movie u want to use. then click on: select->inverse
then press ur delete button, click on the next frame and press on delete, keep repeating this for every frame.

5. now it's time to put in the background, go back to photoshop again and click on: layers->flatten image
then select the complete pic with ur marque tool and copy it.

6. you might have noticed that the canvas size of the movie isn't the same as the wallpaper, so we need to fix that. click on: image->canvas size
then fill in the size of the background pic. after doing that paste the background and put the layer on the bottom of the layer list.

7. now it's time to get the movie picture in the right shape and position. link together all the layers by holding down the left mouse button and dragging it down over the second check box like in the pic, you will notice that chains will appear:

8. now if u got a border where it should fit in like on this example, you should fit the top and the left side first. the click: edit->free transform. now size it the way u want and press enter when ur done

9. now its time for a test, press ctrl-alt-p and see the result.

10. if ur happy with this, click on: file->save optimised as. and save it as a .gif file
