Cartoon glow text effect 

Yesterday I just played around in Photoshop again, and came up with this new and funny cartoon style glowing text effect, and here is how I made it.

And here is how its going to look when we are done.

First type in the the text you want apply this effect to, with the text tool, Its important to use a big font to make it look nice.

Then in the layers panel double click the text layer to get to the layers styles panel and give it settings as shown below.

Now remember to have a black background layer just below our text layer, then right click the text layer and choose merge down.

Now to go filters -> filter gallery and locate the filter called plastic wrap and give it settings as shown below.

If you want to change the color of our text effect just go to image -> adjustments -> color balance and drag the handles for both shadow, midtones and highlights to give it a nice color glow as I did.
